What is eMETAR™?
Simply stated, it's a system to check the weather at virtually ANY airport around the world, on a schedule that you designate, for conditions that meet your flying minimums. Once cleared-to-fly, you'll be notified immediately on your cell phone or by email thus saving you wasted trips to the airport.

Signup now and also receive scheduled METAR's with our  NEW  eMETAR™ Weather Alarm.
How does it work?
Our servers are in direct contact with the National Weather Service (NWS) and are programmed to poll and parse METAR data on a user defined schedule for any airport or station in the world. Your initial signup is done via this web site where you provide some basic information and set your minimum weather conditions for a particular airport or station. Once your account is setup you can access and activate your service from this web site or directly from your cell phone. Best of all: IT'S FREE!    CELL PHONE INSTRUCTIONS
Important request: Our email server is strained to its capacity because
of our popular wake-up service! In order to keep eMETAR free and running
properly, we need more SMTP capacity and are looking for anyone that will
volunteer their email server for relaying purposes.

Airport: KORL (Orlando Executive)
Max Wind Speed: 10KT
Min Visibilty: 8SM
Min Ceiling: 2000FT
Check Cycle: Every 30 minutes
This sample shows a pilot that is waiting to receive a message when the wind at KORL drops to 10 knots or less and the visibilty increases to at least 8 statute miles with a minimum ceiling of 2000FT. Every 30 minutes the system automatically checks for these conditions. When they are met, the system immediately transmits a message to the specified address informing the recipient that they are "cleared to fly".
